Welcome to Our School
Welcome to Montessori of Bloomington, MN! We offer an authentic Montessori environment as well as child care to children ages six weeks to twelve years. We offer Infant, Toddler and Primary programs.
Our prepared learning environments provide a wide range of quality materials in areas of practical life, language, cultural studies and Spanish. In addition to class settings, students engage in problem solving experiences in the areas of science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics.
We take extreme care to maintain our safe and healthy school environment. We have coded entry doors and all staff are certified in CPR and First Aid.

Emily VanDommelen, Director
Certifications: Child Development Associate in Infant/Toddler Development
I have been with River Valley Montessori since March of 2018 and have worked at multiple RVM campuses in all different positions before stepping to Bloomington as Director in June of 2023. I received my CDA in Infant/Toddler Development in January of 2020. I have a strong passion for creating a fun filled work & school environment. Parent communication is my top priority and I love creating new ways to keep families involved in what is happening at school!
