I bring over 28 years of experience in early childhood education, including 15 years in a director role, and have spent the past seven years working exclusively in a Montessori environment. Outside of school, I enjoy caring for my many plants and am a proud Gigi to two wonderful grandchildren—my favorite title of all.

Toddler Care

1.5 – 3 years 1:9 Staff-to-Child Ratio
At this age, children use their bodies, senses, and emerging problem-solving skills to learn about and make sense of their world in ways that are meaningful and effective to them. Toddlers actively seek out information, learn quickly and easily, and are especially interested in being independent. We allow them the freedom to learn as much as they can as quickly as possible.

Primary Program

3 – 6 years 1:15 Staff-to-Child Ratio

As children mature, they see practical life exercises that adults find commonplace as interesting and extraordinary, such as sorting, pouring, and washing dishes. Because control and coordination of mind and body is still developing, the Montessori Method includes tangible experiences with concrete materials used to learn math, movable alphabets to explore language, and cubes, cylinders, and other shapes to categorize, find spatial relationships, and more.

Enrichment Programs

For an additional fee, go beyond the classroom with fun, interactive programs exploring a variety of activities. Ask your director for schedules and pricing.

Soccer

Goal! In this program, your child develops early soccer skills and learns about teamwork spending time on the field with friends.

Schedule: Once a week for 30 minutes
Program Length: 10-week semesters

Gymnastics

Ready to tumble? Your child will learn foundational gymnastics skills, such as balance and rolls, while building strength and confidence.

We chose this school because of the staff and teachers in the Pine room. Everyone has been kind and caring and very encouraging as my son transitioned into care outside of our home

We really love Atascocita Montessori. The staff are warm and nurturing and truly care about students. Students are given time to play outside and be kids, but are also learning how to interact with each other. The literacy curriculum is amazing.

How much is tuition at Atascocita Montessori?

Tuition at Atascocita Montessori varies based on your child’s age, program, and attendance schedule. Tuition includes healthy meals and snacks for all ages, as well as diapers and wipes for younger children. Contact our school to learn more about current tuition rates, program availability, and enrollment options that meet your family’s needs.

Can I schedule a tour at Atascocita Montessori before enrolling?

Yes! We encourage families to schedule a personal tour of Atascocita Montessori to experience the authentic Montessori Method firsthand. During your visit, you'll explore our carefully prepared Montessori environment and learn how self-directed activities encourage independence, concentration, and a natural love of learning. How does Montessori Unlimited handle meals, food allergies, and dietary needs?

Atascocita Montessori provides nutritious meals and snacks, with menus approved by a registered dietitian nutritionist and aligned with USDA nutrition and portion guidelines. If your child has a food allergy or dietary restriction, we’ll work with your family to understand their needs and develop an appropriate plan. Vegetarian options are available, and additional accommodations may be available for special dietary needs, religious requirements, or severe food allergies.

Why are children of different ages grouped together in Montessori classrooms?

Montessori classrooms bring together children of different ages to create a supportive learning community where children learn from one another. Younger children observe and learn from older classmates, while older children develop leadership, confidence, and responsibility by mentoring and helping their younger peers. This mixed-age environment encourages cooperation, respect, and meaningful relationships, allowing children to experience different roles as they grow within their classroom community.
