Welcome to First Colony Montessori South in Sugar Land, TX. My name is Jennifer Zuniga and I am the director at our lovely Montessori school.
We offer infant, toddler, and primary programs for children 18 months to six years old. We strive to provide an authentic Montessori environment for both our children and our parents. In addition to our authentic Montessori program, we also offer after-school programs.
We are currently following our heightened health and safety protocols per the State of Texas Health and Human Services. Before entering the building, temperatures are taken for all staff and children, masks are worn by all staff members during the day, and we continue to promote hand washing, cleanliness, and good hygiene with all the students.
At our school, you will find our teachers have a passion for educating and caring for children. I am proud of the strong bonds our staff has made with our parents and children - they make everyone feel like they're a part of their own family. We have an open-door policy and encourage parents to come in and discuss anything at any time.
WatchMeGrow will be coming soon to First Colony Montessori South! WatchMeGrow is a live streaming video that allows families to view their child's classroom on any smart device or computer. Parents will have the opportunity to enjoy watching their child learn and play. We are excited to share this new technology with our families.
Please feel free to schedule a tour with us here at First Colony Montessori South! We would love to see you and are sure you will be impressed by everything we have to offer!
Starting at the front door, our already robust health and safety procedures have been enhanced to ensure a clean, welcoming school environment. The well-being of your child is our top priority, now, and always.
Elective programs allow Montessori students to learn by exploring creative outlets that will help them advance in the future—while giving your family more free time on evenings and weekends. We offer:
Art, Basketball, Soccer, Spanish
Education: Bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies
I have worked with children since high school; it is very rewarding and I could not see myself doing anything else. I love the interaction I get from the children as well as the parents on a daily basis.
