Welcome to River Valley Montessori of Shakopee, a Montessori Unlimited school! We offer a hybrid environment that blends Montessori methods with our unique Learn From The Start and Learn As We Grow curriculum. These personalized experiences support development and discovery, and inspire a love of learning that extends beyond a child’s time in our school.

The first few years of a child’s life are critical to the development of personality and intellect, so River Valley Montessori offers daycare and early learning for children ages six weeks to six years. Our Infant program provides nurturing, individualized attention and care, while our Toddler classrooms allow children the opportunity to demonstrate independence and the freedom to learn. Our Preschool classrooms encourage learning through hands-on experiences while children discover independence, confidence, and innovation.

We take extreme care to maintain our safe and healthy school environment. We have coded entry doors and all staff are certified in CPR and First Aid. We offer continued training opportunities for our teachers, so they are always knowledgeable of the latest information to best serve you and your children. We strive to create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment where children and parents are an extension of our own families, and we maintain an open-door policy for all of our families.

We're pleased to offer our families access to SproutAbout. This mobile app enables parents to receive updates about their child's school experiences, communicate with their teacher, and gives access to live streaming video of your child's classroom throughout the day.

We are proud to work with families who receive child care assistance through Scott County, Carver County, Hennepin County, and Sibley County. In line with our commitment to curating a quality early childhood program, we’re also preparing for the high standards required to secure our Parent Aware rating in 2026!
