Welcome to Our School

West Glades Montessori has cared for Boca Raton children since October 1988, and our daycare and preschool is near Boca Green Country Club, Boca Woods Country Club, and The Fresh Market. Our staff members hold a Montessori certificate and CPR and First Aid certifications.

Toddlers and Primary are all part of our school, for ages 2 to 6 years. Part of what we offer is FL Voluntary Pre-K (VPK), a state-funded program, and you can ask about it on tour. Montessori learning here is hands-on and real-world, rather than built on memorizing. Real-world experiences help children connect what they learn to everyday life. Learning is deeply rooted in community, with collaborative experiences that build communication, respect, responsibility, and social-emotional skills.

Children can try Yoga, which gives children a way to practice yoga poses and move mindfully, or Art, which turns imagination into hands-on creative projects. Look over our full lineup on this page. Check in from anywhere with livestreaming video of the classroom. Experienced, nurturing teachers are at the heart of our school.

Our kitchen and teachers team up on healthy meals and snacks, and children can explore new foods at their own pace. Every child can feel at home because we care about safety as much as we care about learning. Tour West Glades Montessori at 20400 Cain Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33498 and see our classrooms for yourself.

Toddler Care

2 – 3 years 1:11 Staff-to-Child Ratio
At this age, children use their bodies, senses, and emerging problem-solving skills to learn about and make sense of their world in ways that are meaningful and effective to them. Toddlers actively seek out information, learn quickly and easily, and are especially interested in being independent. We allow them the freedom to learn as much as they can as quickly as possible.

Primary Program

2.5 – 6 years 1:15 Staff-to-Child Ratio

As children mature, they see practical life exercises that adults find commonplace as interesting and extraordinary, such as sorting, pouring, and washing dishes. Because control and coordination of mind and body is still developing, the Montessori Method includes tangible experiences with concrete materials used to learn math, movable alphabets to explore language, and cubes, cylinders, and other shapes to categorize, find spatial relationships, and more.

Choosing the right daycare is an important decision. These are answers to common questions we hear from families like yours.

Does West Glades Montessori have certified Montessori teachers?

Yes, West Glades Montessori has certified Montessori teachers who are trained to support your child's learning and development. We require lead teachers in our Primary and Elementary programs to hold diplomas from teacher training centers accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE). This specialized training helps our teachers provide authentic Montessori learning experiences that encourage your child's independence, confidence, and curiosity.

How does West Glades Montessori maintain a secure learning environment and manage authorized child pickup?

Your child's safety is our top priority at West Glades Montessori. We maintain secure entrances, follow visitor identification procedures, and release children only to individuals you have authorized for pickup. Our team also follows established supervision and check-in procedures to help keep your child safe throughout the day.

What is the illness policy at West Glades Montessori?

At West Glades Montessori, we ask you to keep your child home if they aren't feeling well. If your child develops symptoms of illness during the day, we will separate them from the other children so they can rest comfortably while being monitored by a staff member. We will also contact you to arrange pickup. For the health and well-being of your child and others, your child must remain home until they have been free of symptoms for at least 24 hours or their physician provides written clearance indicating they can return to school.

How often will my child have opportunities for outdoor play and physical activity at West Glades Montessori?

At West Glades Montessori, outdoor time is an important part of the daily experience at Montessori Unlimited and typically offered twice a day, as weather permits. When outdoor play isn't possible, we provide indoor movement activities throughout the day.

How often are classrooms and materials cleaned and sanitized at West Glades Montessori?

Our school is designed to be easily cleaned and maintained at high standards of sanitation. We implement and post daily cleaning and disinfecting schedules in our classrooms. Frequent hand washing is practiced by staff and children, and is always required before eating, after toileting, and after outdoor play.

Are meals and snacks included, and how are allergies handled at West Glades Montessori?

West Glades Montessori provides nutritious meals and snacks, with menus approved by a registered dietitian nutritionist and aligned with USDA nutrition and portion guidelines. Meals are served family-style, encouraging children to participate in setting the table, serving, and cleaning up, where permitted by the local health department. If your child has a food allergy or dietary restriction, we’ll work with your family to understand their needs and develop an appropriate plan.

How does West Glades Montessori help a child settle in during their first days?

Starting somewhere new is a big step, and West Glades Montessori helps your child adjust with a welcoming classroom, caring teachers, and consistent daily routines.
