Toddlers actively seek out information, learn quickly and easily, and are especially interested in being independent. We allow them the freedom to learn as much as they can as quickly as possible.

Primary

3 – 5 years

As children mature, they see practical life exercises that adults find commonplace as interesting and extraordinary, such as sorting, pouring, and washing dishes. Because control and coordination of mind and body is still developing, the Montessori Method includes tangible experiences with concrete materials used to learn math, movable alphabets to explore language, and cubes, cylinders, and other shapes to categorize, find spatial relationships, and more.

Elementary

5 - 6 years

At this stage, children are ready to learn abstract principles. We encourage them to work at their own pace in a non-competitive atmosphere. They may work independently or in groups, in an environment of courtesy and respect. While working independently, teachers give them a great deal of individual attention.
