A Typical Day For A Child

The day begins with each child being escorted into the school by a parent, who enters a code and signs their child in on the keypad. The children assemble in the cafeteria with the teachers. Classes start at 8:00 a.m. The children that arrived at 6:30 will have already been served breakfast at the school.

The children’s teachers take them to their classroom where they get ready for the day. There's a brief Circle Time followed by Work Time and Snack Time. After a busy morning of work, the children get to enjoy our beautiful playground. Then it’s off to lunch. The children eat family- style. They serve themselves and use real plates and utensils.

After a nutritious lunch, some children go home while others go to nap or Pre-K/Kindergarten classes. The regular day ends at 2:30 p.m., when our extended-day children go home.

The remainder of the day consists of our enrichment programs as well as afternoon care in the classrooms. The children get a snack, more outside time, and get to work on art projects. Finally, they return to the cafeteria where they get a final snack while they wait for their parents, excited to tell them about the wonderful day they had at The Woodlands Montessori!
