Welcome to Our School
Preston Ridge Montessori School in Alpharetta, Georgia, follows a child-centered Montessori approach that emphasizes independence, hands-on learning, and self-directed exploration. Its classrooms are led by certified Montessori Guides and supported by experienced educators, creating structured environments where children learn at their own pace.
Beyond core Montessori activities, the school offers elective and enrichment opportunities including soccer, basketball, yoga, music, gardening, and outdoor exploratory play. Learning extends beyond the classroom through mud kitchens, water tables, gardens, and dedicated activity areas.
The school also incorporates family engagement and digital communication practices, using live classroom cameras and Montessori Compass to connect parents with their children’s daily learning experiences.
Additionally, we provide access to Montessori Compass, an online tool that keeps parents connected with their children’s daily experiences and in touch with teachers.

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, I bring a little sunshine, a sense of adventure, and, of course, a serious love of coffee. Hi, I’m Laurie Eades, Assistant Director at Preston Ridge Montessori School. Originally from Rochester, New York, I’ve called Chamblee home for decades. After graduating from Florida State University, I spent 14 years in media buying before staying home with my two sons. My love for children led me to coaching and, in 2011, to Preston Ridge, where I became an AMS Montessori Guide. I was thrilled to return in 2025 as Assistant Director and be part of this wonderful community.

I’m originally from southern India and bring 10+ years of teaching experience. I hold an AMI Montessori certification and am passionate about the Montessori method.
