Welcome to Our School
Welcome to Preston Ridge Montessori School! We are located in Alpharetta, GA, convenient to GA 400. We are a community of loving families and dedicated educators, all invested in providing the best Montessori education and top-notch child care/daycare.
Preston Ridge offers two beautiful toddler environments for children from 18 months to age three plus - toilet training is provided, not required. Our fully equipped primary classrooms serve children through their Kindergarten year; certified Montessori Guides lead all classrooms with full-time assistants. My teachers and I have over 102 years of combined experience in Montessori education. In addition, a nutritious hot lunch is prepared onsite and served daily.
Our After-School program may offer soccer, playball, art, ballet, and tumble time. The children in After-School are encouraged to enjoy outside play as weather permits in our beautiful outside learning environment that includes a music area, a soccer area, mud kitchens, water tables, and gardens.
We are accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission and participate in the Georgia Student Scholarship Program. Our school hosts several family events throughout the year and strongly encourages parent involvement.
We're pleased to offer our families access to Montessori Compass. This online resource enables parents to receive updates about their child's school experiences and communicate with their teacher.

Education: B.A. in Psychology from Georgia State University
Greetings! As the director of our esteemed Montessori school, I bring nearly 8 years of dedicated experience to our educational community. Hailing from Bolivia, my educational journey began as I assisted my mother, an art teacher. It was during those early years that my passion for working with children ignited. Now, with a rich background and genuine enthusiasm for education, I am devoted to providing a nurturing and inspiring environment for every child in our care.

Mimi Carvo, Assistant Director
Education: BBA, Finance Pace University, NYC
I worked on Wall Street as an analyst for 10 years. After which I settled down to raise my four children- three are triplets! I volunteered many hours on the PTA, helped in my children’s classrooms in varying capacities, and volunteered countless hours in scouts. For many years, I taught religious education at my church and volunteered for the children’s summer camps. I enjoy watching and helping children learn and grow. Seeing the world through their eyes is always fascinating!
