Outdoor Activities

Since our educational philosophy extends to the outdoors, all children are required to participate in outdoor activities when weather permits.

Lunch and Snacks

A nutritious lunch and snacks are provided every day. We encourage all children to eat, or at least taste, each food. Menus include foods children love, but are also planned to meet children's daily nutritional requirements and our licensing requirements. If your child has food allergies, please let us know. No food may be brought to school without the prior permission of the Administrative Director.

To help promote independence and social skills, we encourage children to participate in serving and cleaning up at lunchtime.

Healthy snacks are served at mid-morning and mid-afternoon. Snacks are optional and your child may or may not choose to participate.

Naps

For naps, we provide a cot and an individual sheet that are washed or sanitized weekly. Your child is also welcome to bring a soft snuggle toy and a clearly labeled blanket that can be taken home weekly, or as often as desired, for laundering.

Discipline

At Montessori Unlimited, discipline consists of positive reinforcement and redirection. We never allow physical punishment under any circumstances.

If there is a change in the home environment that could be affecting your child's behavior, please notify your Administrative Director. Similarly, we will keep you informed of any behavioral problems that may occur at school. Continued, unresolved, serious behavioral problems may result in disenrollment. If your child causes injury to another child, you will be required to sign an Incident Report.
