The Montessori philosophy is built upon the idea that children think and develop differently than adults; that they are not merely "adults in small bodies". It hinges on the concept of the "absorbent mind", that children from birth to age 6 possess limitless motivation to learn. Through the use of tools and teaching methods developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, this philosophy allows children to learn intuitively, independently, thoroughly and at their own pace.
Because there are no rules as to what constitutes a Montessori school, almost any school can call itself one — don't be misled. At Montessori Unlimited, we use all the tools and methods prescribed by the Montessori Method, not just a few here and there. For the true educational advantage, choose a true Montessori school.
Our methods are quite different, but our students get the skills and concepts they need to excel in education, whether they continue in a Montessori environment or enroll in public school.
At the elementary school level, there is standardized testing.
Montessori schools ideally adhere to a three-year range of pupils to encourage and interactive, social learning environment. This allows flexibility in learning pace and allows older children to reinforce their skills by teaching them to younger children.
No. In fact, a study published in the journal "Science" in 2006 showed that Montessori educated children do better in later schooling in all subjects than non-Montessori children do, and in social cognition skills as well.

All of our primary and elementary directors and directresses are fully qualified in the Montessori Method.
At Montessori Unlimited, discipline consists of positive reinforcement and redirection. We never allow physical punishment under any circumstances. However, continued, unresolved, serious behavioral problems can result in disenrollment.
Varying schedules are available and vary by school. If a child attends a half day program, they are served lunch.
Rates may vary by area, so contact your local Montessori Unlimited. The benefits of a Montessori education are priceless.
Unfortunately, no.
Call your school director to make an appointment to observe a class, so that you can fully experience what makes our school unique. Because we value the safety and security of our students and staff, we encourage parents to schedule visits, however drop-ins are always welcome.
